Vishal Jejurkar

A self-taught filmmaker from rural Maharashtra, Vishal Jejurkar’s cinematic journey began remarkably during his medical studies. His early short film, "Scratch," marked his arrival with numerous accolades at major film festivals.

His subsequent LGBTQ+ film, "The Last Letter," gained critical acclaim and screened globally, further cementing his reputation as a thoughtful storyteller committed to social awareness.

His latest short, "Veni," starring Anjali Patil, premiered at Japan’s Oscar-qualifying Short Shorts Film Festival. Vishal continues to create films that sensitively illuminate diverse, often overlooked stories with profound humanity and authenticity.
